Standing on the outside,
looking in.
Afraid to knock
on the door in front of you.
How many times have
you stood at the threshold
but been too scared to cross?
What is it you fear?
The unknown lies ahead.
What awaits you on the other side?
Only one way to find out.
The door swings open,
Will you enter?
I learned that when something happens bad,
It’s important not to become too sad.
Waiting around the corner is something great,
Don’t be afraid to reopen the gate.
For we truly hurt those we love the best,
But true love always survives the test.
True love is always worth the wait,
Remember… don’t settle for second rate.
